A 20-patient peaceful and private residential home offering inpatient treatment for chemical and behavioral addictions.
About The Cedars Cape Manor House
Located in the leafy southern suburbs of Cape Town, The Cedars offers residential treatment with beautiful rooms and tranquil gardens on the grounds. Patients can come to The Cedars and receive expert help for their chemical or behavioral addictions. Their team of highly qualified and motivated professionals have a genuine desire to help those with addiction. The treatment they provide is founded on the 12-step philosophy, however they utilize many treatment methods in the process of healing. The average length of treatment is 21 days, which is the amount of time that is usually covered by insurance, however longer amounts of time are encouraged to ensure longevity in recovery. Within the first phase of treatment, patients can receive medication management and withdrawal management, daily group therapy and regular individual therapy, 12-step introduction, addiction education, family therapy, community outings and healthy meals. In the 2nd phase of treatment, patients are given more responsibility in the community and begin to help the newer clients in the beginning stages of sobriety. In the 3rd phase of treatment, patients transition into their lives and into society. They are given the option to work during the day and return back to the home in the afternoon.
The Cape Town location has an on-site gym and swimming pool. Clients can also take part in guided meditation sessions, as well as personal training sessions throughout the week. Clients can also go for seaside bicycle rides and hike the trails and forests nearby.
